Referral program

The referral program is for consultants and anyone else who recommends TruStar Connect to the companies they work with. You share your own link, and when a company you referred starts paying for Connect, you earn 20% of what it pays, before tax, for its first 12 months, then 10% for as long as it stays a customer while you support it.

Joining

• Open Referral program from My Profile, or go to the Partners page on our website and choose Become a partner.
• You do not need a Connect subscription: a free login is enough.
• Add your province, and your GST/HST number if you are registered, then agree to the terms.

Your link

Your page shows your own link. It is remembered for 90 days on the device it is opened on, and a company that creates its own Connect account in that time is recorded as your referral. Tell anyone you refer that you earn a commission from TruStar.

Your marketing kit

Your page has a marketing kit for introducing Connect to the companies you advise.

• The Connect brochure for your clients, in an email size and a print size, and the partner brochure for other consultants.
• An email to a client and a post for LinkedIn or Facebook, both with your link already in them. Copy them, or open the email in your own mail app.
• A badge for your website, light or dark. Copy its code into your site: visitors who click it reach the Connect home page and count as your referrals.
• The TruStar Connect logos for light and dark backgrounds.

Bigger companies

• You earn 20% of the first $1,100 a company pays each month, and 10% of anything above that, up to $7,500 per company.
• If you register the deal with us and sell it yourself, you earn a straight 20% instead, up to $12,000 per company.
• To register a deal, email info@trustarsafety.com with the company’s name before it signs up. We confirm it in writing.
• A company you introduced that never used your link can still be credited to you. Tell us and we will add it.
• For a company paying more than $1,100 a month, commissions are paid once it has had 90 days of paid use.

After the first year

After a company’s first 12 months, you keep earning 10% of what it pays, with no cap, for as long as it stays a customer and you remain its consultant: you help it set up, train its people or support its safety program. Tell us when that applies and we confirm it in writing. We review it once a year, and your list of companies shows which ones earn it.

Getting paid

• Choose Set up payouts and follow Stripe’s steps to add your details and bank account.
• Each commission is held 30 days after the invoice is paid (60 for a yearly plan), in case of a refund.
• Commissions are paid on the first of each month once they add up to at least $25. Smaller amounts carry over.
