Daily reports
Track daily project progress, capture weather automatically, roll up crew hours by role, and send the report to management or clients.
Daily Reports lives under Operations. Each report covers one project on one day. You record who was on site and for how long, what got done, what is planned next, any issues, and the weather, then send it to management or clients by email.
Set up your template once
Open Report settings to choose which sections every report collects (contractor header, weather, manpower, equipment, work completed, planned tomorrow, issues, remarks) and to add your own custom fields. This becomes the template for all future reports in your organization.
Create a report
- 1Start a report
Choose New report, pick the project and date. If a report already exists for that day it opens for editing.
- 2Import yesterday (optional)
Pull forward the previous report for that project, then edit from there so you are not starting blank.
- 3Add crew by person
The person list shows people assigned to this project; pick each one (or choose Other to type a name for a sub) and enter their hours. Their role fills in from their profile and can be changed. The report rolls these up into a count and total hours per role automatically.
- 4Fill in the rest
Equipment can be picked from your equipment list or typed in by hand. The contractor name starts as your organization name and can be edited. Weather fills in from the site location; use From site to refresh it.
Send it
- Search team members and/or type external email addresses as recipients.
- Save draft keeps your progress; Save & send emails a copy with a branded PDF attached (your company logo if one is set) and marks the report sent.
- Download PDF gives you the same branded document on demand without sending.
Editing a report that has already been sent is recorded as an amendment with a timestamp, shown on the report and in the PDF. Use Save & resend to send the corrected copy. To start over, use Delete and create a fresh report for the same day.
Weather is pulled automatically from the coordinates saved on the site (set them under Organization settings, Sites). If a site has no coordinates, you can still type the weather in by hand.
Tip. Everyone in your organization can view reports. Owners, admins, and managers create, edit, and send them.
