View documents offline
Save PDFs, images, and documents to your device so crews can open them with no connection.
You can save documents to a phone or tablet so they open without a connection. This is built for crews working on remote sites where signal is poor or absent.
Make a document available offline
- 1Open Documents and find the file
Offline saving works for PDFs, images, and documents written in the app.
- 2Tap the cloud icon
On the file row, tap the cloud download icon. The app saves a copy to your device and the icon turns into a checkmark. Do this while you still have a connection.
- 3Open it any time
Saved files open even with no signal. Tap the icon again to remove the offline copy.
The Available offline view
- Open Available offline from the top of the Documents page, or from the offline screen, to see everything saved to this device.
- It shows how much storage your offline files use, and warns you when the device is running low.
- Remove a file to free space, or tap Update available to refresh a file that has a newer version in the library.
Offline files are stored on the device where you saved them, not on your account, so save them on each device a worker uses. Sections you have already opened while connected also stay available offline; documents are the one thing you choose to save per device.
